The Way Cool Band and Burlington Rail (country theme) consists of Tiller’s Folly and are two musical cover acts that the Tiller’s Folly’s musicians perform with when they are not touring the world. These bands have been first call with most of the special events producers in the Vancouver and Whistler area for the past 12 years. Both the Way Cool Band and Burlington Rail involve some of the finest musicians in the Pacific Northwest, key members including Laurence Knight, Bruce Coughlan and World Bluegrass Champion Nolan Murray.

They have performed and recorded with such artists as Brenda Lee, John Fogarty, Loretta Lynn, Jerry Doucette, The Sun Rhythm Section (Elvis’s 1st band) to name just a few, and Nolan was recently recording with legendary Rolling Stones producer Andrew Oldham. This background and experience gives both bands the ability to play all these styles of music with seamless professionalism, energy and confidence. Moreover, the bands are able to expand to suit any engagement with access to the best musicians the Greater Vancouver area has to offer.

The Way Cool Band can perform many of your favorite songs - requests are always welcome - from the “Baby Boomer” era; a variety of classic pop with music ranging from 1950’s Rock & Rollers like Presley, Orbison and the Everlys, 1960’s icons like the Beatles, Rolling Stones & Beach Boys, mega stars of the 1970’s like the Eagles, Eric Clapton & Steve Miller as well as 80’s pop­sters like Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty & The Travelling Willberries; and today’s artists like James Blunt.

Burlington Rail has literally hundreds of tunes in their repertoire.  Plus, they can add in many songs by the great rock artists who cross over like Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, The Eagles, Bob Seger, and The Everly Brothers.  It’s a musical experience like no other that’s sure to please lovers of traditional C&W and Rock & Roll!
