BOOK THE CELLAR RESTAURANT AND JAZZ CLUB FOR YOUR SPECIAL EVENT:

The Cellar is available for private /corporate receptions. Not only is the CRJC the top jazz venue in Vancouver, it is considered one of the top jazz clubs in the world and is often compared to the legendary New York nightspot, The Village Vanguard for its vibe and acoustics. This intimate (85 seats) fully licensed restaurant is the perfect spot for your next hip happening.

Contact Jeff Turner at
jeff@turnermusic.com
to discuss further.

Turner Music can also arrange live entertainment of any kind for your reception.
Cellar History
Every since Cory Weeds bought The Cellar Jazz Restaurant and Jazz Club in 2000, all it took was five years to gain world-renowned status and to become Vancouver’s premiere jazz venue.

With a focus on local talent, Weeds promoted Canadian music at his venue. Now, looking back at The Cellar’s history, it has attracted visits from every major player in the jazz industry. Some notable big-names include, Charles MacPherson, Benny Golson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Ed Thigpen, and Monty Alexander.

Local Buzz
Great venues don’t go unnoticed around the neighbourhood. So, The Cellar was awarded the Best of the City, by Vancouver Magazine in 2004, for the Best Jazz Joint. It also placed 2nd in the Rising Stars of Vancouver: Best Live Music Venue list by Vancouver Courier.

International Recognition
It started with a local buzz, followed by a national draw, and an international pull. The Cellar has solidified its status as one of the best Jazz Clubs by placing in the Top 100 Jazz Clubs Worldwide three times. Presented by DownBeat International Jazz Club Guide, The Cellar broke the top 100 in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008!

And, so:

There’s nothing like a night of jazz at The Cellar. After all, there’s a reason why Cory Weeds is one of the hardest working men in the business. It’s because he’s dedicated to providing you with a great time. So, come experience it.
