CTV Comedy Now! performance
Comedy's New Superhero
Damonde Tschritter began his standup career by watching A&E at the Improv while recovering from a near death experience. Comedy must be the best remedy because less than a year later Damonde was garnering raved attention in the Vancouver comedy scene.

He was raised in what he describes as a “supportive, funny, white trash” environment, in the small Vancouver Island town of Parksville. At the age of 16 he began hosting his own cable talk show and has worked steadily as an actor, writer, director and stand up comic ever since.

His relaxed, laid-back style and unique comic voice have made him a sidesplitting favourite across Canada and the US. In 2006 Damonde became the first ever Canadian in its 27-year history to win the illustrious Seattle International Comedy Competition. This was a three-week long event and Damonde did 17 shows to be crowned the champion!

Damonde’s credits include CTV’s Comedy Now, three appearances on CBC’s Madly Off In All Directions, Just For Laughs, Chicago Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, HBO’s USA vs. Canada stand-up weekend, winner of the 2006 Seattle International Comedy Competition, and creator of the Vancouver Comedy Festival’s “Glossy Awards Show”.

In addition to his numerous film and T.V. appearances, Damonde also wrote, produced and starred in the film Comedy Club – nominated for best picture at the 2000 Reel Madness Comedy Film Festival.

In addition to his solo stand-up show Damonde is also available with his hilarious comedy theatre show ‘Sex, Drugs and I Can’t Roll’ with fellow funny men, Darcy Michael and Patrick Maliha. As well, Damonde is part of ‘The Best of the West’, a trio of award winning stand-up headliners, ready to bring you to your knees!

“…an absolutely unique act and perhaps this country’s finest comedic storyteller”.
- Globe & Mail, Guy MacPherson

“...has the rare gift of commanding attention merely by talking.”
- Seattle Weekly, Brian Miller
