Comedian Darcy Michael will unleash a no-holds-barred stand up comedy show featuring riffs on everything from gay marriage to suicidal suburbia. Never one to shy away from controversy, this seasoned comedian will bring his experiences from touring the country and land it all on Vancouver Pride's doorstep. One gay at a time.
Join Darcy as he takes us for a year in a review of his life, your life and everything in between. Joined by some of Vancouver top queer performers - Darcy will be taking the audience for a wild and hilarious ride into pride! Featuring music, drag, sketch, improv and stand up - this show will be a hit, or not; either way, Darcy's getting paid.
The Gayest Show on Earth is a variety style show, featuring stand up and story telling from Darcy, interspersed with sketch, improv, singers and a drag number. What the audience doesn't know yet is that Darcy will be joining all the performers in their specialty. For example he will do sketch with the sketch troupe, improv with the improv guys, along with dancing back up for the singers and finishing the night off in drag. It's all very silly and very campy!
Alternatively, Darcy can do the show solo. As a mix of stand up and story telling, Darcy is able to take the audience through a review of his life (well the funny bits anyways) from childhood, to coming out, to getting married, to doing stand up, to starring in film and television programs.
