The Complete Kelly Brock Promo Package
Infectious, Inspired Country-Rock
Nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year
at 2008 BC Country Music Association Awards
Growing up Kelly remembers being addicted to the sounds that were coming out of her parent’s radio and eight-track player. The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Linda Ronstandt and Fleetwood Mac, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton and Gordon Lightfoot, the Beatles and any old soulful R&B classics all wove their way into Brock’s musical subconscious at a very tender age.

Kelly’s first band, The Lost Durangos released their first disc; Evil Town, which was met with acclaimed success. They hit the road, touring across Canada, performing at clubs and universities while topping college radio charts. After leaving the Durangos, Brock did a brief stint with the new-wave rockers, Innocent 3, helping them to win CFOX’s Seeds competition, providing them an opportunity to work with Paul Hyde and Brian Macleod.

Her fourth disc, Rebel Kind, released on Pacific Music/Warner Music Canada is the disc that she is, so far, the most proud of. With help from her co-producer, Craig Zurba, Brock has co-penned ten of the twelve tracks and has enlisted the support from fellow singers, Barney Bentall, Dustin Bentall and Barry Mathers (The Cruzeros). The 12 tracks are infectious and inspiring and the closing track, “Heartache” written by Lowell George, proves that Brock is a true and gifted artist who deserves all the accolades that she has garnered so far.

In 2007 Brock was nominated for four BC Country Music Awards; Best Female Vocalist, Album of the Year for “Rebel Kind”, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year and Single of the Year for the song; “Cowboy Boots and Levis”. In 2008 Kelly found herself, again, in the spotlight at the BCCMA awards, by being nominated for the best female vocalist of the year.
Songs from Kelly’s albums have been featured in Film/Television programs such as ‘Smallville’; ‘Dawson’s Creek’; ‘Joan of Arcadia’; ‘The Surreal Gourmet’; ‘The Chris Isaak Show’; ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ and others. She performed live on Canada AM and on a new TV show named ‘Four Tracks’. Her songs have seen rotation on many Candian radio stations and her music videos have been seen on Much More Music and CMT Canada.

Kelly has performed with the likes of Dierks Bentley and Hank Williams Jr. at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, with Jason Blaine and the Wilkinson’s at the Manitoulin Country Fest, and she had the fortune of working with Aaron Pritchett on his latest CD. But the highlight so far, for Kelly, was performing a duet at the Red Robinson Theatre with Huey Lewis.
