MATTHEW JOHNSON

Matthew Johnson has been entertaining at Festivals across BC for more than 7 years. He has the ability to perform Stand Up/Stage Shows, Roving Magic, Roving Balloons, Juggling, & Visual Comedy. You could have Matthew gather a huge crowd with his self-contained Comedy Magic Show or wander around your event making the coolest balloon creations you have ever seen. Matthew performed an unheard of 2 shows a day, 7 days a week aboard a P&O cruise ship in Europe for 2 years before he was offered the title of resident magician at the Hilton Hotel in Nagoya, Japan. MIKE BATTIE

Since 1985, Mike Battie has been wowing audiences all over the province with his juggling expertise. Mike has gained well-earned respect for his dynamic work with clubs, flaming torches, unicycle, stilts, devil sticks, and diablo. The perfect choice for both stage shows and walk around entertainment, he works great with all ages, and is an expert at working crowds at festivals and trade shows. Since 1988, he has been an instructor with Vancouver Cirkids, Vancouver’s Canada Games Society, and has taught extensively for the Vancouver School Board. His workshops are offered at all skills levels, and yes, he can teach anyone how to juggle.

DAMIEN JAMES

Damien James has been performing professionally for 12 years (since the age of 12). His interest in magic started when he was six after his mother bought him a simple Magic Book. Damien is formally trained in Ventriloquism, Magic and Special Effects Makeup and has performed throughout Canada. Damien James currently resides in Vancouver but travels extensively performing his award-winning act. Recently, Damien began training under Academy Award Winning Special Effects Makeup Artist, Dick Smith. He has won several major awards for his excellence in performance and is a popular, repeat comedy act with corporations, associations, and social events.

CHECKERBOARD GUY

World Expos in Osaka, Japan, Seville, Spain and Tae Jon, Korea, North American representative on the inaugural World Street Festival tour of Australia, invitations from producers around the world, a performance for the Prime Minister of Canada, The Checkerboard Guy’s career has spanned more than two decades and four continents. Juggling everything from balls, clubs, ping pong balls (with his mouth), bowling balls (not with his mouth), torches, medieval battle axes and even stinky shoes. Manipulating everything from cigar boxes, spinning balls, cracking whips, and balloon animals. Bonnie Kilroe is an Multi-Musical-Comedic-Celebrity-Impersonator. She is part Vaudevillian comic, torch singer and sexy siren, all packed into a parade of parody! Think... Lucille Ball... meets Mae West... meets Jessica Rabbit. Live performances by Cher, Barbra Streisand, Marilyn Monroe, Tina Turner, and famous country legend, Patsy Cline. Her show is wildly entertaining, filled with fun and laughter, and always includes hilarious interaction with willing participants from the audience! A one-woman show that will make your head spin, she not only looks, sounds, acts, and sings like the divas mentioned above but also does Liza Minelli, Dolly Parton, Mae West, Bette Midler, Madonna, and Julie Andrews.
